The Amprobe SOLAR-500 is a professional analyzer for testing, maintenance, troubleshooting and efficiency of solar panels. The analyzer can be used in the manufacture of solar cells to test the characteristics for quality control purposes in the production line or in the installation of solar panels to determine the proper inverter size, optimum power output position of panels and to identify broken or worn-out cells.

Amprobe SOLAR-500 analyzers measure the I-V curve and store the curve data which can be used to troubleshoot faulty solar panel cells as damaged solar panel cells will display an abnormal I-V curve. The Amprobe SOLAR-500 also measures maximum solar power (Pmax), maximum voltage (Vmaxp) at Pmax, maximum current (Imaxp) at Pmax, voltage at open circuit (Vopen) and current at short circuit (Ishort).

The Amprobe SOLAR-500 ships complete with meter, users manual, 8 AA rechargeable batteries, AC adapter, RS232C (to USB Bridge) cable, software on CD, software manual, Kelvin clips (6A max).
