Description

The KROHNE OPTIWAVE 6300 C is a non-contact radar level meter developed for accurate level measurements of powders, granulates and bulk solids in buffer silos, hoppers, bulk storage containers and on conveyor belts. The versatile OPTIWAVE 6300 C is specifically suited for measuring the uneven surface of silo contents making it a reliable tool for a variety of industries, such as mineral and mining, food, chemicals, pulp and paper, and power.

The OPTIWAVE 6300 C is configurable to meet the needs of nearly any application. The drop antenna is a unique innovation to measure powders and other solids in very dusty atmospheres. The ellipsoidal shape of the antennas prevents build-up and generates a small beam angle for accurate measurement of silo contents. The horn antenna is recommended for measuring granulates, high-pressure and high temperature applications, cement works or processes with cyclone separators. They are particularly resistant to mechanical shocks.

Installation of the OPTIWAVE 6300 C is simple. No special equipment is necessary to align the antennas and the installation wizard and the comprehensive help function makes set up quick and easy. Depending on the material, application temperatures of up to 200°C and pressures of up to 40 bar are possible. Even in silos with heights up to 80 meters, the OPTIWAVE 6300 C still measures reliably. Since measurement is non-contact, maintenance expenditures are extremely low.
