The Isotech Drago 4934 temperature calibrator provides an adjustable isothermal enclosure for calibration purposes. It is part of the award winning Isocal-6 family and with a reference probe can be used with different accessories for Dry Block, Infrared, Surface Calibration and even with ITS-90 Fixed Point Cells for uncertainties to 0.001°C. In Dry Block Mode, the large 65mm diameter block allows for the calibration of either larger probes or for calibrating many sensors simultaneously.

Calibrating and Testing Odd-Sized Probes

The Background: Our customer is an industrial facility that uses a large number of thermocouples in their processes. They seek a means to calibrate all of these thermocouples.

The Problem: The customer has been having a third party calibrate the thermocouples. In looking for ways to lower expenses they’ve decided to do the calibrations themselves. The thermocouples are of many sizes, shapes and ranges making it difficult to find a dry block calibrator that can handle all of the customer’s calibration needs.

The Solution: We recommended the Isotech Drago 4934 site version. The Drago 4934 is a liquid bath temperature calibrator which can handle any size or shape sensor and can calibrate to an accuracy of 0.1°C. The liquid bath performed very well and the customer is happy with the results.
