The Micro-Epsilon CThot is a state of the art, non-contact infrared temperature sensor designed for the most extreme temperature environment applications. By embedding the thermopile detector inside the head and including special housing to reduce thermal shock, the CThot can operate in an ambient environment of 250°C without any additional external cooling. With the ability to operate in such extreme environments, the CThot is ideal for applications in dryers, ovens, heat treatment lines in the metal and glass industry, paper, plastic and textile manufacturing and semiconductor processing.
The CThot has a measuring range from -40 to 975°C with a basic accuracy of ±1.0% or 1.5°C. Precision optics are available with 2:1 or 10:1 resolutions. The CThot utilizes a spectral response of 8 to 14μm. An important feature of the CThot is the separate electronics with easily accessible programming keys and an LCD backlit display which provides effortless sensor adjustments. The unit includes a wide range of analog output options including 0/4-20mA, 0-10 V, and type K or J thermocouples. Optional digital outputs including USB, RS232, RS485, CAN, Profibus and Ethernet are available.
The CThot includes basic software that allows for easy set-up of the unit for programming. More advanced software, CompactConnect, along with digital interfaces are available which will allow more advanced features such as programming the input and output channels, configure the system or calibrate the sensor, access sophisticated signal processing features and input temperature readings to a display or chart.
The Micro-Epsilon CThot ships complete with sensor, mounting nut, 3 meter high temperature head cable (other lengths available), electronic box with LCD display and programming keys, manual, free software (DAQ & programming).
